      Sanam Marvi

      Sanam Marvi

It’s her unique, adaptable, and contrasting textured voice that sets Sanam Marvi apart from most of her peers. A Sufi-folk singer, she was born in Hyderabad to Faqeer Ghulam Rasool – who was not only her father but also her mentor from an early age, and companion during visits to shrines where he would perform and she would spend hours observing the environment. She later trained under the watchful eyes of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan, providing her the confidence and the skill to make her debut on national television and contributing to film scores in Bollywood.

One of the few artist that keeps returning to the Coke Studio stage, after making her debut in Season 3 and then appearing again in Season 4, 5 and 6, this will be Sanam Marvi’s fifth track where she collaborates once again with Saieen Zahoor on a traditional tune.
